Angelo LaManna
I grew up with seven siblings in the very tight knit community of Ridgefield, NJ. After working a few years in a chocolate factory, I became a police officer in Ramsey, NJ where I served for nearly twenty-nine years, retiring as a sergeant in the patrol division. I currently still serve the residents of Ramsey in the capacity of Deputy Coordinator for the Office of Emergency Management. A quaint, family-oriented community, Ramsey is where I raised my daughter, and it is where I now reside. Although the chocolate factory had its perks, the diversity of police work fueled my passion. One day I would be responding to car accidents and burglar alarms and the next day I would be rescuing three teens trapped in a burning car or delivering a baby boy in his parents' bedroom. These experiences shaped me into who I am today and helped form my writing style.
